Role:
Design Lead (Experimentation)
Problem / Opportunity:
Out of the players that do sign in, a majority of them do not subscribe.
Hypothesis:
Potential customers hesitate when they reach a paywall because they’re worried about forgetting to cancel the trial, and getting charged full price.
Prediction:
If we provide a clear breakdown of how the $1 trial will work and how we’ll remind them before they’re charged full price, we’ll see more ultimate trial conversions.
Impact:
- Started initiative for design-led experimentation.
- Informed long term product roadmap
- Inspired organization to make data more reliable and experimentation possible.
